I wrote this song on a post-it note while I was at work after being eliminated off of American Idol. I felt like such a failure, I was disappointed at the results but even more so myself. I toyed with breaking up with myself but standing there at that job (which I despised at this point) I asked myself "Are you always gonna leave me when things get hard?" .... we must not abandon ourselves in our disappointment...
